NOTICE OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT TO K-VA-T Stores, INC. (FOOD CITY) TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A NEW FACILITY WITHIN A FLOOD ZONE WITHIN THE TOWN OF CLINTWOOD, VIRGINIA 

The Town of Clintwood hereby gives notice that the Clintwood Town Council and the Town of Clintwood Planning Commission will conduct a joint public hearing on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 6:00 PM in the Community Center located at 237 Clintwood Main Street which is across the street from the Clintwood Town Hall.

The public hearing is being conducted to consider a proposed submission by K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. to construct and operate a new Food City store on what is commonly referred to as the “ballfield” including the location where the former Clintwood High School and School Annex were located.

Plans and the submission from K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. are on file and for additional information or any questions regarding this public hearing you may contact, Judy Steele, Town Clerk at 276-926-8383.

COVID 19 restrictions in effect on this date by the Governor of Virginia shall apply.
